Sports Knowledge Ventures, LLC
Privacy Policy
Effective August 6, 2026
Sports Knowledge Ventures, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“SKV”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operates sportsknowledgeventures.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
We collect as little as we can. The Site carries no advertising, no advertising trackers, and no remarketing tags. We do use Google Analytics to measure traffic, which sets cookies. Section 1 explains exactly what that involves and how to opt out.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the contact form on the Site, we collect the information you enter:
- the capacity in which you are writing (Pro Athlete, Pro Coach, or Organization);
- your name;
- your email address; and
- the content of your message.
You choose what to put in your message. Please do not send confidential, proprietary, or sensitive personal information through the form.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server log information when a page is requested, which may include IP address, browser type, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This is generated by the act of serving the page and is used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic measurement.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how the Site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects information including the pages you view, the approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, the referring website, and how you move through the Site.
We have enabled IP anonymization, so your IP address is truncated by Google before it is stored. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing, or audience targeting, and we have not enabled Google Signals.
These cookies are set when you arrive on the Site. We do not present a consent banner. If you do not wish to be measured, you can opt out using Google’s browser opt-out add-on, block cookies in your browser settings, or use your browser’s private browsing mode. Many browsers also send a “Do Not Track” or global privacy signal, and blocking cookies for this Site will prevent Google Analytics from operating.
Information collected by Google Analytics is processed by Google and subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. Google may process this information on servers outside your country, including in the United States.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- read, evaluate, and respond to your enquiry;
- assess whether a working relationship between you and SKV may be appropriate, and communicate with you about it;
- operate, secure, and maintain the Site; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your information to send marketing emails you did not ask for.
3. Legal bases
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to our processing, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries addressed to us, to evaluate potential relationships, and to keep the Site secure;
- Steps prior to entering a contract — where your enquiry concerns a possible engagement with SKV; and
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or disclose information by law.
4. Who processes your information
We use third-party service providers to operate the Site. They process information on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Netlify — website hosting, content delivery, and processing and storage of contact form submissions.
- Proton — our email provider, where your enquiry is received and any reply is sent from.
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4, used to measure how the Site is used, as described in Section 1.
We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or lawful request by a public authority, or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. International transfers
SKV is established in the United States and our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data transfer restrictions, your information will be transferred outside your country. Where required, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond to them and to maintain a record of correspondence relevant to a potential or actual relationship, and thereafter only as long as required for legal, accounting, or dispute resolution purposes. You may ask us to delete your enquiry at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to retain it.
7. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. This is why we ask you not to send sensitive information through the form.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We extend these rights to everyone who contacts us, regardless of whether a particular statute applies to us.
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your information.
- Portability — ask for a copy in a portable format.
- Restriction and objection — ask us to restrict or stop processing based on legitimate interests.
- Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Because we set no advertising cookies, do not sell personal information, and do not engage in targeted advertising or profiling, there is no opt-out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising to exercise.
How to exercise them
Send your request through the contact form on this Site and tell us what you would like us to do. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and in any case without undue delay. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to highlight them.
11. Contact
